Noah's Hope contributes to improved access for the care and resources available to victims of Child Abuse right here in Tuscarawas County!
Pictured above is the new TeleHealth equipment that will give the Tuscarawas County Child Advocacy Center members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team access to Akron Children's Hospital, Child Abuse Experts: Dr. Darryl Steiner and Dr. John Melville for local, Tuscarawas County Child Abuse cases.
Once protocols and procedures are put in place (coming soon), children seen at the Tuscarawas County Child Advocacy Center can be scheduled at the local ACH office and have access to a full medical history and exam, eliminating the need to travel to the Akron Children's Hospital Main Campus to be medically evaluated for physical and sexual abuse. This partnership will also allow Dr. Steiner to participate in our local Multi-Disciplinarily Team Case Review on a monthly or bi-monthly bases.
Monies raised through Noah's Hope was used to purchase the equipment for the project and improves the access to expert medical care right here in Tuscarawas County! This state of the art project is the first of its kind in the State of Ohio but has been widely used in Florida for Child Abuse cases.
